Visitors of Prespa Lakes should not miss the chance and visit the numerous Byzantine and Post-Byzantine monuments of the area. Some of the most important are the following:

The following monuments can be found around Mikri Prespa:

1. In the Island of Agios Achilleos do not miss the chance and visit the ruins of the Basilica of Agios Achilleos (circa 10th century). Among the other churches of the island are the Church of the Twelve Apostles- a three-aisled basilica from the end of 10th century with ancient spolia, the ruins of the Basilica Church of Agios Dimitrios - 10th-11th century, the Katholikon (central church) of the Monastery of Panagia Porfyras build in 1524 AD, where you can observe the remarkable wall paintings which come from three phases, the Church of Agios Georgios – a single-aisled church from the 15th century and the ruins of a post-Byzantine church inside the Konstantion Fortress.

2. In Vidronisi you can visit the ruins of a church from the time of the Paleologos Emperors

3. In the village of Pyli can be found the ruins of the Church of Agios Nikolaos of a false three-conch church inscribed with a square build at the end of 13th century

4. In the village of Plati there is the Church of Agios Nikolaos – a beautiful single-aisled church with important wall paintings (1591 AD).

2. In the village of Agios Germanos there is a beautiful Church of Agios Germanos. Agios Germanos Church is an inscribed cruciform church with dome from the beginning of the 11th century with important wall paintings from three phases.

3. Village of Psarades, visit the rock painting of the Virgin Blachernitissa, date back to 1455-56 AD, the rock painting of the Virgin Eleousa (from the 1373 BC) and rock painting of Agios Nikolaos (1827 BC)

4. At the South West shores of the Lake: Visitors can see the Metamorphosis Hermitage (skete), which us a single-aisled arched-roof church with 13th century wall paintings, the single-aisled arched-roof church with 15th century wall paintings of Mikri Analipsi Hermitage and the Hermitage of Virgin Eleousa that is single-aisled arched-roof church with wall paintings from 1409-1410 AD.
